In Chapter 5 Jeffrey Lionel Maggee A.K.A. Maniac Magee Makes one of his 4 apperances. 803 Oriole Street is the location of this apperance. The house belongs to Finsterwalds and kids stay away from that house the way the way old people stay away from the Saturday afternoon matinees at a two dolar movie. A boy huse name knowone knows is being housted abouve the fence of Finsterwalds house by some high school kids and he is kicking and screeming. The boy forgot the number one rule to not be near finsterwals house and high schooler at the same time. When the boy landed on the ground he was pailized watching the doornob, his teeth chatering. the highschollres laughed because the boy had the finsterwallies. Maniac Magee jumped over the fenced and picked up the limp boy and left the yard. Maniac placed the boy an the front stepes wich was az wors as the yard and when the boy realized were he was he ran away.

On Christmas morning Maniac Magee woke up and shooke Grayson awake. They dressed and went outside with a paper bag, snow fell several days earlyer. They walked to the zoo and Maniac Magee hoped into the buffolo cage and gave the baby buffolo three scarfes tied together. Maniac told the baby that nextyear he would get it stokings for its horns if it has any then. They heded back home as the town woke. For breakfast they had eggnog, hot tea, and cookies. For Christmas Maniac got a box of butterscoch Krimpets, a never used baseball, and a old baseball glove. Five days later Grayson died.

The star quarterback Brian Denehy wound up and threw a sixty-yarder to his favorite receiver James "Hands" Down. The ball never quite reached Hands. Just as the ball was about to reach Hands Maniac coght the ball. Maniac ran through all the players and got a touchdown. None of the players knew what was happening. After that Maniac kicked the ball twice as far as Brian could throw it and it landed into "Hands" Down's open hands.
